Diana Joy Miss Earth Water

My name is Diana Joy Mbocha

A fresh graduate from the University of Nairobi, School of Law.

I’m 23 years old, a school Administrator and the current Reigning Miss Earth Kenya Water 2021/2022.

I’ve been in pageantry for about 5 years now and I’m proud to say that my journey came to a high when I won an environmental crown based pageantry.

The environment is a core subject in all our lives and climate change has affected the globe and our survival as we face the wrath of mother nature. I’m advocating for climate action through afforestation and reforestation.

Miss Earth is an annual international major beauty pageant that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility. The contest is the third largest beauty pageant in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals.

I was recently in Egypt at the Africa World Model United Nations as a delegate in representation of both humanitarian aspects of racial discrimination and climate action around the globe. I am also the current Future Leaders Model United Nations, Deputy Director of the Kenyan Ambassadors.

I’m hoping to go around the globe advocating for climate action and social responsibility towards Mother nature.

As a Gender Based Violence victim and survivor, the healing process was one of the hardest for me and getting down and dirty in the soil, planting trees and seeing something grow from dirt made an impact on me as I no longer felt like unworthy. I realised I could grow into an amazing person and do great things. Planting trees was therapeutic for me and I’m hoping it could be therapeutic for a lot of other people. Mother nature represents life, renewal and power. I’m hoping that the world gets to see and feel the power and impact it has.
